simple menus

There are days when you just can't be bothered to cook so you pick a ready made meal from the supermarket or a take away. Hey, I do that too! But if you want to cook from scratch while keeping it really easy then try the menus from the Simple collection where Curried Minced Beef or Sweet and Sour Chicken could not be more straightforward to make.

spicy tortilla
I don't have much faith in eggs to be sufficient for a satisfying evening meal but combined with the potato tortilla they are very filling. Red chilli gives a kick and adds colour here.

baked gnocchi with tomato, spinach & mozzarella
Quantity-wise this dish doesn't look huge, but that's very deceiving as this is an immensely filling meal thanks to the combination of gnocchi and the richness of chorizo and mozzarella cheese.

mediterranean style bruschetta
When you are not very hungry and yet fancy something substantial this bruschetta does the job. These classic flavours simply are made for each other and together provide a mouth-watering meal.

duck with peaches & spinach gnocchi
A somewhat strange blend of flavours and textures create this yummy dish. The sweetness of peaches complements the duck, while the taste of gnocchi and spinach is lifted by the aroma of mixed spices.

home made baked beans on toast
This is a total makeover of the old favourite. The original baked beans are made with Haricot beans but here I use the flageolet variety. Try replacing the chorizo with bacon or skip it for the veggies.
