menus

Sometimes you have no time or inspiration to plan your meals. We know how you feel.

So why not use one of our delicious menus of five complementary recipes that combine a wide range of foods for a balanced diet.

Best of all, when you choose a menu, all of the ingredients you buy get used - so you don’t waste anything.

Just select a menu, add it to your shopping list and that’s your thinking done for you. Alternatively, why not create your own? See below.

There are days when you just can't be bothered to cook so you pick a ready made meal from the supermarket or a take away. Hey, I do that too! But if you want to cook from scratch while keeping it really easy then try the menus from the Simple collection where Curried Minced Beef or Sweet and Sour Chicken could not be more straightforward to make.

It is not always the grey skies in winter that set off your mood for cosy food. It might be a middle of July, but if the rain is pattering on the windows, the chances are you will crave something other than a light salad. The menus in the Cosy collection have some traditional warmers like Hearty Meatballs - as well as more curious creations such as Malay Duck - that are perfect for when it's bleak outside.

Think of the first day of summer. It's finally warming up and you want to eat outside in your garden or on the patio. Even if you live in a flat that's in a middle of a busy city you'll have your windows wide open and enjoy the summer breeze. The Al fresco collection is about that breeze and recipes that I associate with long summer evenings.

Fancy food does not necessarily mean it is complicated or difficult to make. The Fancy collection is all about more unusual dishes and I often turn to these recipes when I'm cooking for friends. Why don't you try Crusty Lamb with Beetroot and Pear or Sword Fish in Radish Butter as an inspired choice for your supper.

Maybe you don't like fish or prefer not to eat red meat. If that's the case, you can organize your meals by creating your own menus to suit your preferences. Simply combine the recipes that work for you, save them in “favourite menus” and enjoy.
